A window will appear to let you choose your preferred media to import into the app. You can combine photos, music, and videos to produce films by clicking on the ‘Add videos and photos’ icon within the ‘Home’ tab in the menu bar. The left side of the UI lets you preview your edits in the video player. You can navigate through the tabs to control the multimedia clips that are on the right side of the screen. The popular program lets you make movies in a tabbed UI that is designed like Microsoft Office applications: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc. You do not need to have a technical education nor experience to create your own movie with the service. The platform does not contain in-app advertisements to distract you. You can get the free download of Windows Live Movie Maker for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, and Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. The developers replaced the multimedia utility with the Video Editor version that is included in the Microsoft Photos app. While you can still download the Windows Movie Maker tool, the Microsoft store officially discontinued the platform in 2017. In some cases, they are offering the web installer (one of the larger websites files are the Spanish version), which requires you to download. Many websites offer Windows Movie Maker, but in reality, the download is the full Windows Live Essentials.
That being said, we've done all of our usual testings and can't find any malware, viruses, running services, or startup entries that typically show a problem. The downside to installing Windows Movie Maker in Live Essentials is that you also have to install Photo Gallery. If you're not sure, download Windows Live Essentials from MajorGeeks and install only Movie Maker and Photo Gallery. Windows Defender allowed the installation. Windows Movie Maker 2012 is the classic, unsupported Movie Maker that was part of Windows Live Essentials.
